It’s not often that a team wins three straight games and is looking to turn its season around and make a run for a district championship, but there’s a discussion to replace that storyline. Except when Devin White is in the middle of it. The Bucs inside linebacker found himself at the forefront of the conversation this week following questions surrounding his inactive designation last Sunday, and his side of the story finally came out on Wednesday.
To quickly summarize everything: Devin White practiced fully last Thursday and Friday, but was inactive on game day when the Bucs played the Packers. White will share reps with inside linebacker KJ Britt, who started in Devin White’s place two games earlier, according to a report from the Pewter Report and Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. He was told. When White heard the news, he did not approve of it and continued to say that he could not go.
On Monday, Todd Bowles said he had a conversation with White on Friday or Saturday (I don’t remember) and that he told him he couldn’t go, but that didn’t sound convincing at all. . Despite this, the Bucks did not demote White to the game despite making adjustments to three other players over the weekend.

Everyone wanted to hear from Devin White today. First, he was asked if Todd Bowles had approached him about a rotation role with Britt, which he declined to answer. White was asked to explain his situation in this match and the previous match.
“So far, we’ve just been trying to get me back on the field, making sure I’m comfortable,” White said. “Right now, we haven’t talked about it yet. The game plan is set and I’m going to do whatever he wants me to do.
“Until that day came, today was a walk-through, so I didn’t really practice to see how I felt or anything like that. At the moment, not yet, but when he did, [does]or he [does]If so, I’ll do whatever I have to do. ”
White was then asked how he felt when he heard Britt was going to play. This was his answer.
“I didn’t sit down. [any type of] With me,” White said. “KJ has played well all year since I left. I’m proud of him. That’s what we do. That’s what he was drafted here for. – To be a great player who can replace me and Labonte. [David] And he did just that.
“The same way I supported him when he wasn’t playing, I was going to support him the same way I supported him if I were to play, no matter what.” [does for] myself. We have a really great relationship – everyone in our linebacker room does.That will never happen [any] bump your head [anything] so. At the end of the day, it’s all about winning. ”

He then showed the timeline of Devin White’s ejection.
“I don’t know, shoot me, can you say Friday?” White said. “I practiced last Friday, and I felt a little more explosive than before.” [having] However, I still felt a little uncomfortable. I knew I wasn’t there yet. I didn’t want to sit down and jeopardize all the work she’d put in over the past two weeks to get her foot back on track.
“I want to come back and make a full recovery. [taping] I have tape under my cleats and shoes.I’m wearing Jordans [brand] It wasn’t me. I’m just trying to get back to being myself as much as possible.”

“I’m just going to say it once,” head coach Todd Bowles said. “He was medically cleared to play, but then indicated he wasn’t feeling well. He told me he couldn’t play, he couldn’t go. We continued our conversation until Sunday morning. I decided to deactivate him. When he got to the stadium, he found himself inactive.”
Devin White sets the record straight
The biggest theme Devin White wanted to accomplish was to shut down negative perceptions about him. If you recall, White posted some cryptic posts on his Instagram story that suggested he didn’t like the way he was portrayed. His biggest complaint was that people thought he quit the team because he couldn’t make it.
“I saw a lot of articles about me quitting the team,” White said. “I don’t know how me and my coach could have done that.” [Todd] Bowles’ decision to sit out and rest to help my team. Even when they weren’t playing, they were inside the building.
“I was just supporting them, taking notes as if I were playing in case they had any questions or I had any questions. [saw] Something, maybe you can tell them that and put them in a better position. That was the biggest thing I didn’t like because I never quit the team. I love this game and I love competing. Most importantly, it didn’t suit me. ”

When asked why he believes information regarding recent events surrounding White was leaked from the Bucks’ facility, White was unsure. He didn’t understand why he needed all the attention when the Bucks were playing so well.
“I don’t know, dude. I can only speak based on what I know, what I’ve experienced, what I’ve personally dealt with,” White said. “I don’t know. I know I don’t need to say it. [any] lie. that’s reality.
“Someone might want to tell you something. [Buccaneers] It might become a hot topic.baker [Mayfield] We’re talking about Devin White because of all the fuss last week.I don’t think I should be mentioned in games where I didn’t play or contribute. [anything] Besides, I’m the biggest cheerleader in Green Bay.
“Other than that I don’t know, dude. To my credit – I’m going to face everything head on. This is just another stepping stone in my journey that I’m willing to face. The story is Please provide more information when I am finally in the right position because it will be great in the end.”

White is right that Baker Mayfield’s best game of the season should be the headline story. But this comes from a player who requested a trade before the season and who consistently commented on other teams’ Instagram posts in hopes of creating a narrative that the Bucks should pay him immediately. There are also things.Bowles backs White and will defend him endlessly, However, it seems like not everyone surrounding Tampa Bay feels the same way about him this season.
