Exclusive: Briarcliff Entertainment has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Christian Gudegast’s action-thriller sequel. Den of Thieves 2: Pantera Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. reprise their roles as “Big Nick” and “Donnie” respectively. A wide-ranging theatrical release is planned for the fourth quarter of 2024.
Gudegast also wrote the script for the production, funded by eOne and Tucker Tooley Entertainment.
In the sequel, Big Nick hunts down the dastardly streets of Europe once again, as Donnie becomes embroiled in the dangerous world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther Mafia as they plan the grand heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange. . . The 2018 original film, also directed and written by Gudegast, was released on STX and grossed nearly $45 million US and over $80 million at WW.

Tooley produced through his Tucker Tooley Entertainment, along with G-BASE’s Butler Siegel, Alan Siegel and Mark Canton.
The deal was negotiated by Ortenberg and Jessica Rose on behalf of Briarcliff Entertainment and by eOne’s Rosalind Reid on behalf of the filmmakers. Sierra Affinity manages international sales of the film.
