Age may just be a number, but in the world of volatile and intense airlines, it is certainly worth noting that they will hit three times the numbers.

One way Delta marks its anniversary is by having a special 100th anniversary colouring to honor “the innovation, resilience of the century, and those who built the Delta on today’s airlines.”
The airline unveiled a new look at the Airbus A321neo at the Gala on Saturday. It features a majestic swoosh in blue and silver tones.
The carrier said later this spring, it will add a commemorative painting scheme to one of its Airbus A350 widebody jets.
This colouring was designed by Delta employee Aaliyah McNeal.
Decades after the establishment of Delta, it was one of the “trunk carriers” or airlines in the country that flew through major routes in the country until the industry was deregulated in 1978. Delta merged with Western Airlines in 1987 and acquired Pan AM’s European assets in 1991. Delta became today’s global airline, following its merger with Northwest Airlines in 2009.

Today, Delta is a de facto premium US airline, but United airlines I’ll do my best to catch up – and leaders of initiatives focused on many customers. For example, in 2023, Delta was The first major airline to offer free in-flight Wi-Fi.
Delta is not the only US airline to reach triple numbers for a long time. Both American Airlines and United can trace their roots to 1926.
