Colorado State coach Deion Sanders had a surprise for his team during Friday morning’s meeting after a verbal war with Colorado State coach Jay Norvell this week.
He gave each player a pair of Blenders sunglasses. Blenders Sunglasses is a company that develops a line of sunglasses with Sanders.
“They don’t realize, it’s personal and not only do we get to kick their butts, but it’s a business and it’s fun,” Sanders said. “They don’t realize, they’re just helping me with my business.”
Sanders also handed a portion of the glass to the host of ESPN’s “First Take” during an appearance on Friday’s show.

On his radio show Wednesday night, Colorado State coach Jay Norvell took issue with Sanders’ usual press conference attire.
“I talked to ESPN today. I don’t care if they hear it in Boulder. I told them I took my hat off and I took my glasses off,” Norvell said. “She said to take off her hat and glasses when talking to adults. That’s what her mother taught me.”
During Thursday’s practice, Sanders addressed the team’s criticism in a video shot by Welloff Media, a YouTube channel run by his son Deion Sanders Jr.
“I try to mind my job, watch film, prepare, try to go out of here and be the best coach I can be, and then look up and see what they think about us. I read that bull junk that said,” he told Sanders and his players. “once again.
