While I made it clear this week that I will not support a debt ceiling deal, Speaker Kevin McCarthy and House Republican negotiators don’t care about the inflation, retirement concerns, health care costs, etc. they cause. I believe that I have done my best for the President. It’s wreaking havoc on families across the country.
It’s okay to admit that the deal that’s being voted on this week may be the best possible deal with a president who has refused to negotiate or even discuss the issue for months. But that recognition must come with a second part. This bill will only bury us even deeper in debt and will not actually address the rampant inflation that is hurting every American family.
Conservatives in Congress now have a choice. We can also make a deal with the devil knowing that this debt ceiling bill will not stifle inflation or ease retirement anxiety or health care costs. Or you could say that now is the time to live within your means and stop inflation.
If not today, when is the time to say no? When debt hits $40 trillion? mortgage interest rate Over 10% credit card interest rate over 30%? But that would be too late.
So ask yourself these questions: Will this week’s yes vote simply kick the can and tell American families that they don’t care how inflation affects their livelihoods? Of course the answer is yes.
House Patience Approves Biden-McCarthy Debt Deal
Families with spendthrift children only want their children to be able to live independently and within their means. We all love our children and don’t want them to fail, but seeing them become independent and responsible is one of the greatest joys of being a parent. Whether you’re a parent, a business owner, or a national leader, it feels good to stand up for yourself. Washington is the only place where people have a hard time accepting this basic and universal truth.
I am a businessman who has negotiated many deals. In every transaction, at some point you have to say no. Perhaps now is the time every Republican lawmaker needs to say no.
Frankly, I’m tired of seeing people live in a fantasy country in DC where debt isn’t an issue while America burns in the background.
I am a businessman who has negotiated many deals. In every transaction, at some point you have to say no. Perhaps now is the time every Republican lawmaker needs to say no. Not to be a saboteur, but to tell every American family that we listen to them and we care about them.
The biggest losers of the debt ceiling deal are the American people.Republicans and Democrats are all about pushing us into debt
When we say no to more debt, we are telling every American family that inflation is too high and caused by the federal government to live within its income. It will be. By saying no to more debt, you are telling American families that gas, groceries, college, rent, and even health care are too expensive. Saying “no” forces elected leaders to make choices, just like every family in America.
Biden will not admit what his reckless spending is doing to American families. Inflation is forcing American families to make difficult choices. Inflation and mortgage rates are making housing affordable. Interest is eating up the federal budget and crowding out military spending while communist China is building an army to defeat us.

Let’s take a look at some outrageous numbers. President Biden’s proposed budget for this year is $6.8 trillion, up 55% from 2019. During the same period, the U.S. population grew by less than 2%. This is the kind of reckless spending accepted in Washington that is ruining our country.
The only way out of this mess is to balance the budget, pay off the federal debt, reduce the size of government, cut regulations, make permits easier, and let government do only what it needs to do. That’s what I did as Governor of Florida, resulting in more higher paying jobs, less taxes, less debt, better schools and a lower crime rate.
I supported the Limit, Conserve, and Grow Act originally passed by House Republicans. It wasn’t perfect, but it at least started the process to a balanced budget, put able-bodied Americans back to work, reduced the regulatory footprint that’s robbing America of jobs, and made the American economy, not the Washington, D.C. economy. worked to grow
So even if you only have two options: balance the budget or make the difficult choice to pass this bad bill, the decision is easy.

Let us work hard and make hard choices to help American families realize their dreams of making our great country the greatest place of opportunity on earth.
Above all, we must understand this: the day will never come when the permanent political class of either party in Washington will stand up in favor of runaway spending and debt reduction. But we must all hope that one day enough responsible adults will be sent to Washington to stop this madness.
