Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh JackmanDeadpool and Wolverine‘ was released worldwide on July 26th, and although it’s only been three days since its release, it’s already breaking records. The Shawn Levy-directed project grossed a staggering $205 million in its first weekend in North American theaters, more than double the gross of the first ‘dead pool‘, ranking 8th in the top 10 opening charts of all time.
Ryan Reynolds, AKA Deadpool, isn’t sure how to process his movie’s massive success. “This is hard to accept. But thank you to everyone who came out to see the movie this weekend… wow,” the actor wrote in an Instagram Story.
Besides that, Ryan and hisDeadpool and WolverineHis co-star in “X-Men: The Movie,” Hugh Jackman, also recently recreated the iconic meme to celebrate the film’s success. First, Hugh shared a photo of himself lying in bed in full Wolverine gear and staring at the photo, recreating the iconic sad Wolverine meme from an episode of the 1993 animated series X-Men. The framed photo reads, “Best Movie in the World.” Joining in on the fun, Ryan also shared a photo of himself lying in bed and staring at a photo of Hugh recreating the iconic meme.

That’s not all: Ryan reshared director Shawn Levy’s Instagram post, calling it “a sneak peek at my future eulogy,” and wrote, “I’m not sure if working with @slevydirect was the best thing that could have happened to me personally or professionally, but I’ll call it a draw.”
