Daniel Radcliffe has paid tribute to his Harry Potter co-star Maggie Smith, who passed away on Friday at the age of 89.

She was incredibly kind to me on that shoot, and I was lucky enough to continue working with her on Harry Potter films for another 10 years. ”

He continued, “She had a ferocious intellect, a wonderfully virulent tongue, was able to intimidate and charm at the same time, and was, as everyone says, extremely funny. I always consider myself incredibly lucky to have spent time around her at Legend. The word legend is overused, but if it applies to anyone in our industry, that’s it. Same goes for her, thank you Maggie.”
Daniel played Harry Potter in the film, and Maggie played Professor Minerva McGonagall.
