On TikTok, discussions about tipping are inherently negative, whether people don’t want to tip, don’t think it’s necessary to tip, or the server asks customers to tip better. There are many things. Many content creators take advantage of this platform to share their latest tipping experiences built into POS systems.
However, one waitstaff told me the story of being tipped on a table that wasn’t hers after helping with a few things as she was getting ready to leave the restaurant. His TikTok user Lex (@capfairywh0re), who is in charge of the server, said he had just left work and the table in his colleagues section was flagged down.
“I believe this very strongly, very badly. As any server knows, even if you’re not a guest this time, you’re a guest next time, or you could be a guest, Okay,” Rex says in the video. “They see you, they recognize you, they know who you are. They may remember you, even if you don’t remember them.” ”
When she couldn’t find a female waiter anywhere in the restaurant, she decided to help the table herself, based on her philosophy that they could be customers in the future. She said they flagged her down when she was finally about to leave the restaurant with some to-go boxes, bread, to-go cups, and joking about helping them out of hours. she says
“As I approached, men leaned over in the car and I saw they had $5,” she said. I’m like, “Oh my god, thank you so much. Get in the car—$20. I’m just doing that little thing. Believe it or not, being a good person pays off.” increase.”
