From the classic motto “Have it your way” to the current “You rule”, Burger King prides itself on giving customers choice. However, Los Angeles-based TikToker discovered that one of its franchised drive-thru locations did not honor the deals it advertised on its drive-thru sign.
This video is courtesy of creator Peter Sark. According to his bio, he’s a content creator and gamer, and this particular video (which has been viewed over 102,000 times since posting it on the platform on January 13th) has been taken from his regular content. deviating.
Beginning with a digital sign at the entrance to a Burger King drive-thru line, the “You Rule” animation appears behind a screen caption that shouts “False Advertisement” in all caps.
His caption, which accompanied the video, reads, “Can’t you respect your own promotion? You thought you were king?”
Sark said in the caption, “We stopped at Burger King,” indicating the location in Los Angeles, but didn’t specify the exact location.
“And then there’s a sign that says ‘$6.99 for two,'” he narrates, indicating that the digital billboard has turned into a picture advertising just that.
Then introduce and tell the Burger King employee into the story. She said ‘I don’t have that’ and then she came out to check herself and looked at it. ”

“Oh, it’s not there anymore. It’s not in our system,” Sark recalls the employee saying.
Sark continues: We’re going out,” he decided, thinking enough to turn the encounters into TikTok content.
Commentators considered their thoughts on Burger King and whether they really felt “ruled” there.
“Every time we order a trade, it creates confusion,” said one. “They don’t even know what’s on their menu screen.”
Sark said, “Exactly, I was baffled that she didn’t actually believe me, and came up with another word to check myself with my own eyes without saying anything.
Another commenter used the Monster Energy Drink logo on his avatar and suggested, “We have to respect advertising, right?”
Again, Sark agreed with the commenter, observing, “You think so, don’t you?” He adds a shrug emoji.
One person received multiple comments about being denied a promised Bacon Cheeseburger King Deal.
Many people took part in the comments to offer their own criticisms of Burger King’s failure, but one spoke about workarounds at rival franchise McDonald’s.
“When I worked at McDonald’s, if you were to advertise, you had to sell if someone ordered,” they said. “Then, I’ll put the sign down right after that.”
Sark replied, “Thank you for confirming what good customer service is.”
