After narrowly escaping the upset against the Texans, there aren’t many celebrations in Dallas, especially considering key players were injured during the game.
Arlington, Texas — Never apologize for winning the NFL, but the Dallas Cowboys hope to avoid succumbing to back alley brawls every week. It could affect the rest of the season.
The headline concern was right tackle Terrence Steele, who was taken to the locker room with what is believed to be a knee injury nearing the end of the second quarter. Upon further inspection, it appears that his knee was rolled up by another lineman.
More tests, including an MRI, will be done on Steele to determine the extent of the damage.
In Steele’s absence, the Cowboys made nine Pro Bowl appearances. leftAn eventual game-winning drive by Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott replaces the struggling Josh Ball and tackles Jason Peters in the game’s waning moments. But the Cowboys are also looking to other positions as they try to address possible issues at light tackle.
Jake Ferguson left the game with a head/neck injury, and Jonathan Hankins, who was a key part of the four-headed Hydra at Dallas’ tight end and finished with six minutes left in the second quarter, also didn’t return. Downstop against Damien Pierce.
The Hankins, who were acquired from the Las Vegas Raiders before the trade deadline in exchange for a sixth-round pick, are Quinton Bohana, Carlos Watkins and Neville Gallimore.
Hankins joins Dorrance Armstrong in need of more recognition. The latter left the contest with a walking her boot due to a possible ankle injury in an attempt on Hale Her Mary by the Texans, leading to an interception of Trevon his Diggs…or Israel Muqam…. you ask
Speaking of Diggs, the Cowboys were quite terrified when he came out to the game and headed to the locker room to evaluate his thumbs, but eventually he came back and made a point about the aforementioned interception. Please refer to.
Next, visit Jacksonville to take on the scruffy Jaguars. We’ll know soon enough if any of the aforementioned players will be in attendance.
