Costco customers excitedly reviewed the new Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies, now on sale in the chain’s food court, and were surprised by their “giant” size. But how does it taste? In terms of price, Natalie Ludwig (@eatsbynat) seems to have been pretty impressed with her viral offering on TikTok, which has racked up over 4.4 million views as of Saturday.
And while several people who responded to her video said they were excited about the prospect of being able to buy giant cookies in Costco’s food court, they also said they were excited about the prospect of being able to buy giant cookies in Costco’s food court, while chocolate chip treats are now available in food courts. Many people were disappointed that the coat had been replaced by another popular product.
“Costco is selling double chocolate chunk cookies,” Ludwig says at the beginning of the video, zooming in on a giant cookie advertised in the food court. According to one Redditor, the sign says he’s $2.49 for 750 calories. It’s “fat and sugar”.
Her video then cuts to showing off the actual cookie in her hands, and she comments on how huge it is: “Costco cookies are literally huge.”
She proved just how big it was by observing the dessert from inside her car. She holds the cookie up to the camera. Holding her cookie up to her face completely blocks her face from the screen. The cookie is about the size of her head.
She continued to comment on the size of the cookie, saying, “I really can’t wait. I took a bite as I was walking. This is a big cookie,” she said while holding the cookie up to her face.
“Oh my god, it’s so warm, you know how I feel…” And then she dug into the cookie and took a bite. She nodded, then offered an explanation. “If it was just a little bit, a little bit more undercooked, this is a good cookie, umm, it’s only her two dollars,” she says before the clip finally ends.

Some people who had I don’t recommend eating all the cookies.— like this guy who munched on everything and called his dessert “tummy-ache juice.”
TikTok viewers were already creating their own dishes by combining cookies with other items from Costco’s food court.
One person wrote: “Listen, vanilla soft serve ice cream and cookies.”
Another customer said that when they saw the price of the cookies, they immediately knew this was a product that offered shoppers great value.
“At Costco price of $2.49, we thought it would be a good deal,” they said.
Another person recommended their favorite chocolate chip cookie in the comments section, writing, “Yeah, but go to Whole Foods and try the brown butter chocolate chip cookie too!!” It comes pre-packaged in the bakery and is to die for! ”
And while some people were thrilled to see the giant cookie added to Costco’s food court menu, others were looking forlornly at another popular sweet item that’s gone: churros. SF gate reported that cookies were used instead of churros, but some viewers didn’t seem too happy with the substitution.
“Yeah but they took away the churros,” one person wrote. Another says, “Where are the churros?”
In Ludwig’s review of the cookies, he said the dessert could have benefited from being less hard and crunchy. According to a commenter who claims to work as a Costco baker, the cookies are reheated in the food court, which gives them a crispier texture. She suggests asking that the cookies not be reheated.
“Here in America I work at Costco and they bake it in the bakery and then take it to the food court where they reheat it for you!!!” they advised. “It tastes better without being reheated! It has more chewiness.”
