As the tug-of-war over top agents continues, Corcoran Group has snatched back eight Boomerang agents from Compass and hired eight more agents from Compass to the New York City-based brand.

After four years at Compass, the Marcus Wells Team, formerly known as the Pam Marcus Team, has boomeranged back to the Corcoran Group, the brokerage tells Inman exclusively.
Led by Pamela Marcus, the nation’s top 1.5 percent agent, and her partner Philip Wells, the team also includes Liz Schwartzberg, Sienna Green, and Savannah Likitsakos. They are all now based in Corcoran’s East Side office, led by Managing Directors Helen Monti and Tim Letterita.

Marcus was named a top 1.5% agent nationally by RealTrends in 2022 and 2023 and was awarded REBNY Deal of the Year in 2019. Marcus, Wells and Schwartzberg are all former Corcoran agents who have now returned to the brokerage. The move marks Green and Lixakos’ first time at Corcoran.
During her time at Compass, the team, founded in 2020, was known as the Pam Marcus Team. Upon returning to Corcoran, the team changed its name to the Marcus Wells Team.
In addition to the returning members of the Marcus Wells team, a number of other agents have marked Boomerang from Compass to Corcoran, including Haruno Arai (previously with Corcoran for 20 years) and Ippei Iwashiro (previously with Corcoran for 7 years) are doing. Corcoran also introduced a substantial roster of Compass agents, all new to the Corcoran brand.

- Also joining Corcoran is Jennifer Bowden, who spent her career on Wall Street before beginning her now 20-year career in real estate.
- William Stafford represented developer Moinian Group in the sale of 123 Washington Street.
- Nicolas Andreassi joins the brand alongside Juan Benitez of Montsky Real Estate to form the Andreassi Benitez team.
- Sonia Brown has worked in the New York City real estate industry for about 10 years and represented Norah Jones in the sale of her $8 million townhouse in 2019.
In addition to these moves for the Corcoran Group, one of the brand’s franchisees, Greenwich, Conn.-based Corcoran Centric Realty, has also welcomed the former Compass Team TriStar Team into its fold. The team, which includes team leader Ronald Nyman and agents Suzanne Lapcien and Alec Nyman, has consistently generated approximately $20 million in revenue over the past three years. The team’s customer base includes both Fairfield County locals and visitors looking to invest in vacation real estate.
The moves mark a new strategy for targeting top talent as brokerage firms intensify rivalries while navigating a more difficult market. Compass also plays a role in recruiting top agents, bringing on board the top team from Rhode Island-based Sotheby’s International Realty and the number one independent brokerage firm in Central Texas in recent months.
