DENVER — A woman in Greenwood Village helped dozens of people put an end to their holiday nightmares by reuniting lost packages on Friday.
Allison Hankins told 9NEWS that the idea came to her when her uncle was pulled from her luggage while traveling. Denver International Airport Originally from Texas.
She and her two teenage daughters, along with a friend, decided to help travelers dealing with the same problem.
Hankins said he texted about 130 people using the phone number on the package, and reached out to about 50 of them. I sent pictures to people in Colorado telling them where the bags were. Out of state travelers had their bags shipped from the airport.
Hankins said the people they helped were grateful. She traveled to Mexico and the woman who went without her luggage for 10 days was in tears.
“She was just crying and saying, ‘Oh my God, you changed our Christmas,'” Hankins said.
“We didn’t do this on TV or anything. My girls didn’t want to put it on social media.” only.”
