“Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi spoke with “Bridgerton” cast members Claudia Jessee, Jessica Madsen, and Hannah Dodd about what’s to come in Season 3.
Their friendship explodes after Eloise Bridgerton discovers her best friend Penelope Featherington’s secret identity as Mrs. Whistledown.
Claudia recalled: First, I think Eloise is really quite dependent on Penelope. She is quite dependent on herself, so she thinks it is important for her to find herself on her own. ”
Jesse added: “I don’t want people to lose hope, but I think there may be some benefits to being apart like this and I hope it strengthens our bond.” added.
However, Claudia teased that the two characters will face “a little bit of an uphill battle.”
Regarding Eloise’s thoughts on the new season, Jesse said: Basically, she idealized herself in front of her actual self and got into an argument with her queen, which she then realized was the best mate for her. I think she’ll get boned. ”
This season we’ll also bring you more of Cressida Cowper’s backstory. Jessica teased, “I can see her forming this beautiful friendship with Eloise, but it’s so unlikely.”
She elaborated: They show a mirror to each other, learn different things, listen to each other’s opinions, and Héloïse seems to challenge her and help her break the mask, open up and show vulnerability. But it was something we had never seen before. ”
Hannah’s character, Francesca Bridgerton, is the diamond of the season. However, she doesn’t attract much attention.
She commented: “What will people expect before seeing how she approaches it? It’s a very pragmatic and logical approach. She’s definitely anxious and nervous about everything.” But yeah, it’s not something that glorifies her and she’s excited about it.” She knows it’s her turn and this always happened, so she lets go and gets on with it. ”
“The Queen likes you,” Mona offered.
“Yes, yes, a little,” replied Hannah. “But again, she’s putting her name on the diamond season after season and that’s what a lot of debutants want right now. And again, that’s what Francesca really wants. Not in that way, because she’s avoiding attention.” That’s what makes her stand out from the crowd, even though she’s actually trying to do the opposite. . ”
“Bridgerton” will be available on Netflix starting May 16th.
