New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu said Sunday that he believes the Republican presidential nominee “has a winning path” and will decide “within the next week or two” whether he will run for president in 2024.
Sununu said in CNN’s “State of the Union” address on Sunday that he is “120% committed when he starts something.” “We’ll be making a decision soon, probably next week or two, and we’ll either go or not.”
The remarks came after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Tim Scott (RS.C.) formally announced their candidacy for president last week, formally challenging front-runner former President Donald Trump. was done later.

DeSantis raised $8.2 million in 24 hours of racing Thursday night, though a technical issue on Twitter ruined his much-anticipated announcement, his campaign confirmed. This huge sum far surpassed the sum raised by President Joe Biden during the same period.
DeSantis officially launched the campaign Wednesday night in an online conversation with Twitter owner Elon Musk. However, the audio stream crashed repeatedly, making it difficult for most users to hear the announcement in real time.
On Thursday, Republican governors announced plans for a three-state blitzkrieg to reach at least a dozen cities next week. He will campaign in Iowa on Tuesday and Wednesday before visiting New Hampshire on Thursday and South Carolina on Friday.

The former president now leads by a wide margin in early polls and has a firm grip on a sizeable portion of the Republican party’s fanatical base. But Trump is burdened with his own burdens, including multiple legal threats and an obsession with losing the 2020 election.
Sununu teased 2024 presidential election campaign He said he would likely make a decision over the course of several months, likely in early summer, following the suspension of New Hampshire’s current legislature and the signing of the state’s next two-year budget. Sununu supported Trump during the 2016 general election and even when the then president lost his reelection in 2020. The governor had a strong working relationship with President Trump, including a close relationship with Vice President Mike Pence.

But Sununu has long criticized President Trump’s baseless allegations that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” and “stolen.” He also started saying that the Republican Party is bigger than anyone from early 2021.
