The problem with unaddressed crises is that they tend to metastasize. Amidst the chaos of the past, a new crisis emerges, and the vicious cycle continues. President Joe Biden’s border crisis has spawned several other crises, but one issue stands out among them. The number of Chinese nationals illegally crossing the southern border has increased by 7,000% since 2021, which is only half the year. If it continues at this pace, it will reach 14,000% by the end of the year, but no one outside China seems to know why.
In 2021, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested 342 Chinese nationals. In 2022, that number jumped to 1,987. And in 2022, that number has increased to an astonishing 24,125. Of course, this does not include “fugitives” who have managed to slip past border guards.
Still, nothing compares to what’s to come. So far, the number of arrests this year has already reached 24,296, surpassing 2023, but there are still six months left in the fiscal year. Chinese immigrants are one of the fastest growing groups crossing the southern border illegally. Even more concerning is that the vast majority of these Chinese immigrants are men of military age.

Given the unique threat that the Chinese Communist Party poses to the United States, one might think that the Department of Homeland Security would be eager to interrogate some of these immigrants to understand why they are here. .
Such a dramatic change in immigration numbers from our greatest enemy requires detailed reporting and thorough investigation. But like other border-related spinoff crises, there is little sign that the Biden administration will address this crisis anytime soon.
Of course, the media seems to be covering Biden for his inaction. Many in the media seem concerned that the most important aspect of this crisis is the use of politically correct vocabulary to describe illegal immigration.
For example, Speaker Mike Johnson, in a speech to the full House, referred to “military-age single men who are flowing into our country from hostile countries… across our southern border.” One Washington Post columnist took issue with Johnson’s “framework.”
“You don’t need to unpack much to see the horrifying veneer Johnson is applying here. … It’s all about the framework. Johnson asks his listeners to hear the phrase ‘senior military,’ and that immigrants are dangerous.” They want us to believe that they are trying to harm Americans.”
Understandably, many in the media would rather spend their time forging words than holding them accountable for the Biden administration’s failures.

At the very least, U.S. intelligence agencies should be interested in why this phenomenon is occurring. Migrants have been found using mobile applications such as WeChat and Douyin (the Chinese equivalent of TikTok) to watch videos explaining how to cross the border.
Both applications are controlled and closely monitored by the Chinese Communist Party. Therefore, the Chinese government intentionally allows tens of thousands of young people to freely access these tutorials and flee the country.
You don’t need top secret clearance to imagine why this is alarming. China already has a long history of spying in the United States. They launched reconnaissance balloons and roamed freely over American airspace, gathering information. Chinese police center discovered in New York City. China’s attempt to purchase agricultural land near strategic military bases. Seven Chinese nationals have been arrested for hacking on behalf of China for over 14 years. And the list goes on. Anyone who thinks China’s sophisticated intelligence won’t exploit the border crisis is simply not paying attention.
Given the unique threat that the Chinese Communist Party poses to the United States, one might think that the Department of Homeland Security would be eager to interrogate some of these immigrants to understand why they are here. .
Still, many seem content to accept the basic reasoning that Chinese immigrants are here in search of better opportunities. According to a CNN article, Chinese people are flocking to the United States solely because of the Chinese government’s crackdown on the coronavirus and economic stagnation. Although this theory may apply to some people, you should not assume that this applies to everyone.

Just a few weeks ago, a Chinese citizen who entered our country illegally was arrested after infiltrating a Marine Corps base in California. In fact, according to the Wall Street Journal, there have been more than 100 incidents in recent years of Chinese people attempting to infiltrate U.S. military and other facilities. Should we assume that these people are seeking economic opportunities on strategic military bases?
America’s intelligence agencies have a duty to the American people to get answers. Intelligence officials cannot allow this crisis to be folded into a broader border crisis and left unaddressed. Although there are many nationalities of illegal immigrants at our borders, he is the only one that poses the greatest threat to the United States.
