A Chick-fil-A employee claims he was fired after telling his manager he was sick and shouldn’t be serving food on the now viral TikTok.
Video posted by TikToker Kaitin Slovek (@kaitin.slovek.
In the clip, Slovek nauseates to his manager, suggests he work outside, and points out that working directly with food poses a food safety issue.
“You have to do what the team needs. You have to be able to work in the position where I need you,” their manager says. I can’t, I’ll take you home now.”
Slovek told his manager that another could work outside and that he felt it was “unfair” to be fired for being ill.
“You are within 60 days. I don’t think this is right for you,” their manager replied.

In the comments, viewers urged Slovek to look into the state’s employee protection law.
“Oh my god, it’s so easy to get sued for wrongful dismissal and food safety protocol violations,” wrote one user.
“Call the health department and they will definitely do something about it,” said another.
In the latest video, Slovek says he “hasn’t heard anything from HR” after calling him several times, but I believe he’s now unemployed.
