Whether you’re traveling with a large group or want a spacious kitchen where you can cook for your family, there are many reasons to choose a vacation rental in a traditional hotel room. As of this week, Chase Cardholders have a new reason to stay on vacation rentals. Currently, only cardholders with free or ink business cards can access the Vacation Homes program, but Chase has expanded to include the program Chase Sapphire Reserve® Cardholders starting in July.

For those who already have access to the Vacation Homes option, Chase Travel is now available to choose from thousands of cottages, villas, cabins, beach homes, condominiums and apartments at destinations around the world. Once you log in, track Travel and select the applicable card, you will be presented with the option to search for either “Hotel” or “Vacation Home.”
For testing, I searched for vacation rentals in Boston in early August. For each search result, we saw all-in prices for multiple images of the property, rental types (such as apartments), number of guests that can be accommodated, and the ultimate reward points for both nightly cash prices and cash and tracking.
Search results also show map views that can be used to narrow your search down to specific parts of the town, and give you a better idea of where the properties you are looking at. You have the option to filter search results to see only accommodations with specific amenities, such as internet, fitness facilities and on-site parking.
Who is eligible to book a Chase Vacation Home?
Currently, only selected cardholders will be shown with Vacation Homes options when logging in to the trip. This includes those that include the following cards:

When Vacation Homes will undergo a wider deployment in June, Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Sapphire Reserve forBusiness℠ (launched on June 23rd) Cardholders can also access the program.
Information about Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business has not been reviewed by the card issuer.

If there is a Chase Sapphire Reserve, The redemption value of your booking will change quickly through your Chase tripand there are several other refreshed perks (and higher annual fees).
How much can you earn?
Free and Ink cardholders can earn Ultimate Reward Points to use their home on holiday at the same rate as booked flights and hotels. For Freedom Cardholder, this means 5% cashback on travel purchased through Chase Travel. If there is one of the following: Chase Ink Business Your rate of return (if any) depends on the card you have.
When Chase Sapphire Reserve personal cards and business cards are folded in July, those cards earn 8 points per dollar spent on purchasing a Chase trip. For the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card, that’s a 2 points per dollar drop from its previous rate of return, but Chase hopes that some of the card’s new perks will plead for you.
Conclusion
As Chase is entering the vacation rental business, travelers can earn points when booking apartments, condos, beach houses and other accommodation types via the Chase Travel Portal.
