Charles Oliveira, who could fight Islam Makhachev for the UFC lightweight title, is still open to a fight with Conor McGregor. Despite his recent online feud, Oliveira isn’t putting up any barriers to making a potential fight happen.

Following Oliveira’s win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 274, Oliveira called out McGregor. McGregor responded enthusiastically and an exchange began between the two fighters. While McGregor has shifted his attention to a fight with Gaethje, Oliveira is ready and motivated for a potential matchup with McGregor.

Oliveira’s stance is clear. We are waiting for McGregor to confirm the time and location of the fight. Oliveira is preparing to rematch Makhachev for the lightweight title at UFC 294 in October. He believes McGregor would be interested in fighting him, regardless of weight class, if he regained the title.

McGregor’s return is expected in early 2024, with a rematch between Oliveira and Makhachev scheduled for later this year. Oliveira is open to facing McGregor regardless of weight class and would be happy to do so if McGregor decides to make the fight happen.
