For those who live in the city of Lancaster, the entire month of May is a celebration.
Mayor’s Neighborhood Month takes place next month with block parties in several neighborhoods in Lancaster. This is the fifth time the celebration has been held.
Lancaster Mayor Dannen Soles said in a press release:
The City of Lancaster has hosted Neighborhood Month in June for the past few years. City Communications Her manager, Amber Strazzo Righter, said the event was moved to May for her because several other community events, including the Red Rose Run and Celebrate Lancaster, take place in June. said.

— Southeast quadrant: May 10, 5-7 p.m., Milburn Park, 219 Dauphin St.
— Southwest quadrant: May 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Crystal Park, 525 1st St.
— Northwest quadrant: Linear Park between Harrisburg Avenue and Lemon Street on May 31 from 5-7pm. The park crosses the intersection of West James Street and North Mulberry Street.
Lancaster City officials will also host a general planning presentation on May 24 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Ware Center at 42 N. Prince St. city development. It requires registration and is open to the public.
