On Saturday, it was reported that Aubrey Plaza’s husband, Jeff Baena, was found dead the day before. Authorities are currently confirming his cause of death.
deadline The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office announced that the 47-year-old filmmaker’s death was ruled a suicide by hanging.
Plaza, 40, star of Parks and Recreation and The White Lotus, has not released any statement regarding his tragic death.
Born June 29, 1977 in Miami, Baena got his big break writing scripts with director David O. Russell, including the offbeat star-studded comedy I Heart Huckabees (2004).
Baena’s directorial projects include Life After Beth (2014), for which he directed Plaza. “Josie” (2016). “Little Hours” (2017); and “Uma Musume” (2020).
The couple gave Criterion a “Closet Recommendation” film in 2017, showcasing their deadpan humor. take a look here. In 2021, Baena produced the anthology series Cinematoast for Showtime, which marked Plaza’s directorial debut.
Plaza and Baena have been a couple since 2011, but she kept their relationship a secret from the public.
