Months after Katy Perry left the “American Idol” judging panel, the show has found her replacement!
There are multiple reports that Carrie Underwood will join Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan in season 25.
according to According to TMZ, Underwood is in the final stages of a deal, and an official announcement could be made during her appearance on “Good Morning America” on Friday.
Carey is considered one of the most successful winners of “American Idol” with approximately 85 million records sold! She won the show in 2005.

Other big names being considered for the judges’ panel include Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Pink and Meghan Trainor.
In April, “Extra” spoke with Katie, who hinted that Jelly Roll might take her place after serving as a mentor on the show.
Katy also named KISS’s Meghan Trainor and Gene Simmons as possible replacements.
