Bucks Thursday injury report just released, and one notable addition worth keeping an eye on. Defensive lineman Kariya Kansi returned today as a limited appearance, but right guard Cody Mauch hasn’t practiced and is listed with a back injury that will help the Bucks open the season against the Vikings. The fact that the game is just days away is definitely cause for concern.

If Cody Mauch doesn’t play in Week 1, there will no doubt be another big question in the Bucks’ offensive line that has them in abundance. After the team traded off Shaq Mason in the offseason, he’s expected to be a quick starter in that position, but there isn’t much depth behind him.
Perhaps the next candidate is Aaron Stinney, who re-signed with the team in the spring. Otherwise, a line shuffle may be required, with Nick Leverett playing right guard or moving to left guard and having another offseason acquisition, Matt Failer, play right guard. It will be
No matter how you look at it, Mauff (who the Bucks appreciate Dave Canales’ potential within the offensive scheme) doesn’t want to miss on Sunday. Mauch is seen as a key factor in getting into space and attacking opposing defenders for an attacking team focused on running football. It will be interesting to see his level of participation in practice tomorrow.
