Ernest Brown IV is a 6-foot-5, 300-pound defensive tackle who originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (174th overall) by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2021 NFL Draft. Brown has appeared in 12 career games with the Rams, starting three and recording 14 tackles (one tackle for loss). He spent significant time on the Los Angeles practice squad and briefly signed with San Francisco in February of last year, but was waived last May before training camp began.

Laird, 28, has spent the past two years on Tampa Bay’s practice squad after entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of the Miami Dolphins in 2019.
