This season has been unprecedented for the Bucks in terms of injuries. The team has been plagued by injuries almost every game, and Sunday afternoon against the 49ers, another big player went down.
That’s Pro Bowl left tackle Tristan Wirfs.

Late in the second quarter, as Tampa Bay’s offense was driving down the field, Wirfs’ right knee was curled up by a San Francisco defensive lineman. The star left tackle briefly fell to the ground before being helped by trainers off the field. In the process, Wirfs was limping badly and was not putting pressure on his right leg.
LT Tristan Wirfs’ knee injury deals another blow to Bucks’ offense
There was also a quiet moment at Raymond James Stadium when Tristan Wirfs went down. It won’t be long before the home crowd sees wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin go down with serious injuries in Monday night’s game against the Ravens.
It was another big blow for the Bucks’ offense, which entered the second half without its best three offensive players surrounding quarterback Baker Mayfield. Wirfs had a tough game against 49ers star defensive end Nick Bosa and held his own despite an injury.
Reserve tackle Justin Skule will replace Wirfs, and the team has a bye week ahead of them, but that may not be enough time to get their best offensive lineman back before Week 12 against the Giants.
