On Saturday, the Bucks promoted two players from the practice squad to bolster their defense heading into Week 2. against the Detroit Lions. The team continues to deal with injury issues on the defensive side of the ball, but defensive linemen C.J. Brewer and Mike Green were both elevated for the second straight week.
Defensive tackle Kalijah Kansey missed his second straight week with a calf injury. Defensive end Logan Hall missed Week 1 with a foot injury and has been on the team’s injured list all week despite practicing. He is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Green and Brewer will handle that as a precaution if Hall is rested Sunday.
The Buccaneers have been plagued by injuries in the secondary. Antoine Winfield Jr. is out With Josh Hayes out with an ankle injury and Tampa Bay already without fellow cornerback Bryce Hall on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, the team made the sympathy move of signing cornerback Keenan Isaac, who was on the Buccaneers practice squad last year and through training camp this year.
Cornerback Zion McCollum is expected to return to the lineup after missing last week’s game with a concussion, but he cleared concussion testing. ESPN’s Jenna Raine.
