The Bucks got much healthier during the bye week, with Mike Evans, Jamel Dean, Kaliyah Kancey, Ryan Neal, Luke Goedeke, and Devin White all set for Sunday’s Week 6 home game against the Lions. Everything is safe.
in fact, As of Friday’s final injury report, Outside linebacker Shaq Barrett (illness) was the only one questionable for Sunday.
Unfortunately for the Bucs, Saturday brought some bad injury news as the team dropped outside linebacker Anthony Nelson as questionable against Detroit.
Nelson was listed on the injury report all week with a concussion, but was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. But as of Saturday, he may no longer be available.
Nelson has one sack so far this season after recording a career-high 5.5 sacks last year. He signed a new contract with Tampa Bay this offseason.
Bucs could get an OLB depth test in Week 6
With Nelson listed as questionable and Barrett entering the weekend as questionable, undrafted rookie Marquise Watts could see action for the first time this season. Watts performed well in training camp and the preseason, ultimately earning a spot on the final 53-man roster.
Bucs head coach Todd Bowles has said he likes the depth at outside linebacker, with Watts and fellow rookie Yaya Diaby playing a bigger role on the other side of the third.
