The Bucs continue to bring draft prospects for official 30 visits in preparation for the 2025 NFL Draft. And, no one will be surprised, this is another defensive player that Pewter Report has learned. According to Justin Melo from the Draft Network, Toledo’s defensive tackle Darius Alexander has made an official 30 visits in Tampa Bay.

Alexander is considered a top 64 talent by many raters in the league.

At 6-foot-4, 305 pounds, Toledo’s Darius Alexander turned his head in the NFL scouting combine as he timingd at 4.95 on a 40-yard dash. This linked the era of Mason Graham in Michigan. Mason Graham is expected to become perhaps the first defensive tackle in the top 10 in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Alexander turns 25 in August, and is one of the prospects for an old defensive tackle in the draft. With a 34-inch arm, this slow Bloomer really developed into a rocket’s permeable, destructive three-technology defensive tackle.
Alexander was really surprised during senior bowl practice that sometimes couldn’t block, and had two tackles, including a tackle in a loss in the senior bowl game. He was one of the advocates for higher energy during his practice in Mobile, Alabama.
The Bucs could require another defensive tackle that Logan Hall enters his contract year after recording 5.5 bags in the 2024 breakout season. Tampa Bay brought three defensive tackles for 30 visits, including Alexander.
One aspect of general manager Jason Licht and head coach Todd Bowles worthy of defensive linemen is the split of passes. If a defensive lineman can’t reach the quarterback, can he disrupt pass plays at the line of scrimmage by showing awareness to hit the ball? Alexander recorded 13 pass breakups Thaneo includes eight over the past two years. And his 58-yard intercept return for a touchdown against Pittsburgh in the bowl game came from falling into coverage.
