On Thursday, the Buccaneers announced their local radio (preseason and regular season) and television (preseason) broadcast teams for the 2024 season.
Perhaps the biggest piece of news to celebrate is that Buccaneers radio announcer Gene Deckerhoff will be returning to the booth for his 36th season. Deckerhoff has called some of the biggest moments in franchise history. As a long-time voice on the teamhe, Finally joining the Ring of Honor Inside Raymond James Stadium.
Standing alongside him in his 19th season will be former Tampa Bay tight end Dave Moore. TJ Reves returns for his 20th season as an in-game sideline reporter. The Buccaneers’ radio station will remain 98Rock (97.9 FM).
Tampa Bay also announced The company announced a multi-year contract extension with NIA Broadcasting for its Spanish-language alternative broadcast, which will feature the return of play-by-play announcer Carlos Bojorquez and former Tampa Bay kickers Martin Gramatica and Santiago Gramatica, the crew returning for the seventh consecutive year. The Spanish-language broadcast will be broadcast on WTMP 96.1 FM-HD-1.
The Buccaneers will also play their preseason games at the same home stadium.
WFLA News Channel 8 will continue to broadcast Buccaneers preseason games this season, with three exhibition games being televised locally.
Chris Myers, Buccaneers legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ronde Barber and Dan Lucas will team up to provide play-by-play commentary for the NBA’s games against Cincinnati (Aug. 10) and Jacksonville (Aug. 17), as well as the NBA’s preseason finale at home against Miami (Aug. 23).
The Buccaneers-Bengals preseason game will be broadcast locally on WFLA affiliate WTTA-TV, while the other two games will be broadcast on WFLA News Channel 8.
Spanish-language radio will also simulcast with WFLA during the preseason, providing local fans with a Spanish-language option.
