Just one week until the NFL Draft. Next Thursday night, the seven-round extravaganza kicks off, and we get a lot closer to seeing how the Bucs plan to meet some of their roster’s biggest needs.
These days, two positions — offensive tackle and edge rusher — seem to dominate the conversation about where the Bucks go with the 19th overall pick. Both are in great need, and as Tampa Bay looks to prepare for years of competition from young cores, both positions have interesting prospects to consider.
like we’ve done many times from the middle of last seasonwe’re here to tour the NFL world and put together some mock drafts. Let’s see.
Jonathan Jones — CBS Sports
Round 1, Pick 14: Tennessee OT, Darnell Wright
“Tampa couldn’t wait any longer.
Oliver Hodgkinson — Pro Football Network
Hodgkinson Releases 3 Round Mocks Interesting to say the least.
Round 1, Pick 19: Georgia Edge, Nolan Smith
“There are a lot of potential directions the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could take in the first round, but here they have one of the most athletic pass rushers in the 2023 NFL Draft. Nolan Smith explodes. A pass rusher with an amazing first step, incredible lateral agility, edge-turning flexibility, and impressive run-game impact for smaller players.”
Round 2, Pick 50: Tennessee WR, Cedric Tillman
“Mike Evans can hit 1,000 yards every season, but Tampa Bay could try to beef up their WR in the 2023 NFL Draft. But as a big pass catcher with impressive athleticism, he’s definitely more promising.”
Round 3, Pick 82: BYU QB, Jalen Hall
“Despite the addition of Baker Mayfield, the Buccaneers are likely still in the QB market, and Jaren Hall is a talented option to appreciate for his exciting arm strength and electric off-script playmaking ability. to them.”
Michael Renner — Pro Football Focus
In his latest mock (release on wednesday), Renner has a Bucs standing putt at No. 19 and takes an edge rusher, but he’s not someone that was frequently linked to teams during the pre-draft process.
Round 1, Pick 19: Clemson EDGE, Myles Murphy
“Bucs can get out of its current capped position simply by reloading in a valuable position. Murphy makes a lot of sense as a high-end, tool-heavy project.”
Bill Barnwell — ESPN.com

Barnwell releases mocks of “All Trade” every year, he fell on wednesday this yearNote that all the picks in this mock are traded, so there will be a lot of chaos that won’t unfold on draft night.
So with all that in mind, he traded Devin White to the Texans in Tampa Bay for the 12th overall pick and a 4th round pick (104th overall).
There are other ways the Bucks creatively move up the board for future quarterbacks or left tackles, even at the expense of White. , amid the Cap Crunch, negotiations between the Bucks and their star linebackers were not going well. White requested a trade last week, and while the team may not honor White’s proposal, his future could be elsewhere. I would rate White as the second pick worth. This is about the same as Rokuan Smith was rated when dealt to the Ravens in similar circumstances last year.
Peter Schrager — NFL Network
Liberation of Schrager His Mock Draft 1.0 On Tuesday, he made it clear that these choices aren’t something he makes. Rather, this mocking comes from what he’s been hearing from across the league. moving.
Round 1, Pick 19: Maryland CB, Deonte Banks
“Banks is enjoying a great pre-draft period, working out at a very high level and doing interviews well with NFL teams. to the Titans.Tampa Bay has a lot of needs. It would be interesting if Will Levis or Hendon Hooker were still on the board at this point, and it could be real.”
Chris Trapasso — CBS Sports

Notre Dame TE Michael Mayer Photo Credit: USA Today
Trapasso Released full 7 rounds of mocks on wednesday. It started with the Bucks trading back several times, first with the Jaguars dropping from his 19th to 24th, then the Bengals from his 24th to his 28th. Bey has offensive weapons.
Round 1, Pick 28: Notre Dame TE, Michael Mayer
“After a pair of tradebacks, the Buccaneers got Mayer as a full TE1 for the next decade. rice field.
Trapasso later had the team make more deals to drop further and get more picks, but this doesn’t get off the ground quickly. With the rest of the mocks deployed, Tampa Bay very boldly drafts five (?) edge rushers and he two cornerbacks from his remaining ten picks. See for yourself, please…
Round 2, Pick 50: TCU IOL, Steve Avila
Round 3, Pick 92 (from Bengals): Oregon EDGE, DJ Johnson
Round 3, Pick 99 (from 49ers): Auburn RB, Tank Bigsby
Round 5, Pick 153: FAMU EDGE, Isaiah Land

Oklahoma OT Anton Harrison – Photo Credit: USA Today
Whatever mocks we used to have, we are transformed into the world of analytics.Released by Menon and Spielberger “PFF Analytics 2023 NFL Mock Draft” this week. Bucs gets a new left tackle.
Round 1, Pick 19: Oklahoma OT, Anton Harrison
“The Bucks recently signed Matt Failor, but he has more plans as a guard, especially since they traded Shaq Mason and Failor played the last two seasons as a left guard with the Chargers. With Tampa Bay still needing to find a tackle opposite Tristan Wirfs and Harrison still on the board, this pairing made sense as Harrison was a true Oklahoma freshman. Given that he played left tackle, Wilfs can stay on the right side of the line.”
Dane Brugler — Athletic
Burglar Revealed his own 7-round mock on monday. This looks much better for Bucs.
Round 1, Pick 19: Tennessee OT, Darnell Wright
“Do you have any questions about Tristan Wirfs’ ability to play left tackle? If you look at his final season with Iowa (he played both left and right tackle that year), it’s clear that he was blind. You’ll find them dominating the flank, and the combination of left tackle Wirfs and right tackle Wright could be one of the best OT tandems in the NFL.”

Kansas OLB Felix Anudike-Uzomah – Photo Credit: USA Today
Round 2, Pick 50: Kansas State EDGE, Felix Anudike-Uzomah
Round 3, Pick 82: Texas RB, Roshon Johnson
Round 5, Pick 153: Stanford CB, Kew Blue Kelly
Round 5, Pick 175: Georgia S, Christopher Smith
Round 6, Pick 179: Shepherd G, Joey Fisher
Round 6, Pick 181: Cincinnati WR, Tre Tucker
Round 6, Pick 196: Oklahoma DT, Jalen Redmond
Round 7, Pick 252: Tennessee LB, Jeremy Banks
Justin Melo—The Draft Network
lastly, Two rounds of mocks released WednesdayIn it, the Bucks went heavy in the secondary.
Round 1, Pick 19: Alabama DB, Brian Branch
“The Buccaneers take an approach available to the best players to meet their positioning needs. Lost a ton of secondary depth in free agency, including Ting, who would soon form a formidable duo with Antoine Winfield Jr.”
Round 2, Pick 50: Utah CB, Clark Phillips III
“Clark Phillips III may be petite, but his mind and body are immense. Phillips is an instinctive corner with elite ball skills when playing zone coverage. It will compliment you beautifully.”
