‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ alum Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Jennifer Spinner are getting married!
Windham-Burke announced on Wednesday that she had gotten married in a “last minute” ceremony at her home in Nashville.
she said people Magazine, “This is just us and us saying, ‘You know what? we love each other Let’s do this. ‘ Then when the big wedding actually happens, we won’t be so stressed out and will think, ‘This is just a party with friends.’ ”
The couple didn’t intend to get married until 2026, but didn’t want to wait “due to the uncertainty and political and social climate surrounding LGBTQ+ rights in Tennessee.”
Windham-Burke said they “just wanted to be legally protected and hopefully accommodated to whatever changes were made.”
“This just legalizes it and gives us the protections we need as gay couples living in the South,” she stressed.
According to Braunwyn, their relationship has received “huge backlash” in Tennessee. She confirmed their legal marriage. “We’ve had a hard time with the environment and the climate. For us, this is our own little protest. We want to stand on our own.”
Sharing her two cents, Jennifer said: We are raising it together, and I have an ex-partner who is also trying to raise it together. I think we need the protection and rights that come with marriage. Unfortunately, we are not on our own timeline because the government has decided. In a sense, it’s that timeline for us. ”
Braunwyn and Jennifer, who are already married, are planning big celebrations in Guatemala, California and New York for their grandparents who are too old to travel.
Windham-Burke exclaimed, “I’m so excited to finally be legally husband and wife!” Jen is my best friend and I’m so lucky to wake up and go to bed with the person I want to be with more than anyone else. ”
“She’s the one who pushes me. It’s been a really tough two years, but I don’t think I could have gotten through it through her. When I took my wedding vows, I thought they would say, ‘For better or for worse.’ But we’ve been through some tough times, and she’s shown up every single time,” Braunwyn added. “When you grow up, you know what you sign up for. Marriage isn’t a fairy tale and you won’t be happily ever after, but you’re my person and I’m yours.” That determination that I’m going to be with you. You’re not only my life partner, you’re my life best friend.”
Last year, Extra interviewed the couple as they discussed their wedding plans.
Windham-Burke said, “I was thinking of having a small wedding with just close friends and family, but if you’re marrying someone from Long Island, you can’t have a small family wedding…It would be fun…I’ve already prepared the venue. “I’m working on it,” he said. In Nashville. ”
Jennifer said: “I want to have a small wedding as much as possible, but I have a large family.”
In early 2023, Braunwyn and Jennifer “married” at Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, but they didn’t make it legal.
