Brad Pitt has won a major victory in a Los Angeles courtroom in his ongoing rosé war with ex Angelina Jolie over France’s Miraval winery.
According to court documents obtained by Extra, a judge just denied three of Angelina’s motions to dismiss Brad’s lawsuit over the French winery.
“The judge found Brad’s case to be credible, paving the way for this matter to proceed to trial,” said a person close to the case. This latest ruling marks another pre-trial victory for Pitt and adds further momentum to its ongoing legal battle. ”
The dispute over Chateau Miraval and its wine business has been ongoing since their split in 2016.
In 2008, Brad and Angie paid more than $27 million for this 1,200-acre property they wanted to turn into a family-owned business. They even got married in the Vineyard Chapel.
After their breakup, Brad accused Angie of violating their oral and written agreements and selling part of his wine business behind his back without his permission. Angie claims she had the right to sell.
A source close to the F1 star’s team said: “This is a simple business dispute, but unfortunately the other side consistently brings in a personal element, which is a weakness in the case.” “It exposes the facts and complicates and prolongs the legal process.”
Meanwhile, Angie’s team claims that Brad is trying to silence Angie with a non-disclosure agreement and is prolonging the drama to cover up Angie’s past misdeeds.
Joly has 30 days to respond to the latest ruling.
