Boeing delivered 38 jetliners last month. Of those, 35 are best-selling 737 Max, down from December’s total of 69. The number of deliveries was more than the 32 that Boeing delivered to customers in January 2022.
This figure does not include the manufacturer of nearly 500 new aircraft from Air India and a large order from its main rival Airbus.
Air India has ordered at least 220 Boeing and 250 Airbus aircraft, as airlines gear up for a further recovery in air travel as travel concerns abate due to the Covid pandemic. The combined sale was the largest aircraft order in history.
