Billy Ray Cyrus and singer Firerose are done.
Just seven months into their marriage, Billie filed for divorce, TMZ Reports.
Billie filed last month, but the news wasn’t made public until now.
Since the couple had no children, the divorce may go smoothly.
Billy no longer follows Firerose on Instagram and has not posted about her on the social platform since late April.
She still lists herself on Instagram as “FireRose Cyrus,” and a few weeks ago posted about their six-month wedding anniversary, writing, “Life isn’t always easy… but it really helps to have your husband as your best friend too. Thank you God!”

“October 10th, 23rd will forever remain as the beautiful and joyous day when our two souls were united in holy matrimony. It was the most perfect and magical celebration of love we could ever imagine,” he wrote on Instagram.
Alongside a series of wedding photos, Cyrus added: “When we heard the pastor say, ‘Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus… I declare you husband and wife,’ it was a sacred moment of our new beginning in eternity. May the love last forever! ❤️♾️”
In 2022, rumors of an engagement between the two surfaced.
It’s not clear when Billy Ray and Firerose began their romance, but they collaborated on the song “New Day” in 2021.
After confirming their engagement, he told People magazine, “Firerose was a beacon of positivity and a great friend, and as we started sharing music it evolved into musical soul mates, soul mates, a happy, pure love. I never knew that kind of love existed. Again, we are both musicians first and foremost, and we found this harmony, this rhythm, this melody in our lives.”
They also collaborated on the song “Time,” in which Billie explains, “I’ve spent my life worrying about things that are out of my control, but I know that at this point in my life, all I really have is the happiness that’s in my heart and in my mind…I found Fire Rose and got engaged, and then I lost my mother.” [a few weeks later]– Do you understand? A seesaw never stays in the middle. But now that I have someone to help me through it, it’s a little more balanced.
