Several people took to Twitter Friday night to criticize President Biden after he tweeted that he was “never more optimistic” about serving two more years in the White House.
“It’s been two years, and I’ve never been more optimistic about America’s future,” Biden said at a ceremony to mark his second anniversary on January 20, 2021.
But those who responded to the post didn’t share the president’s enthusiasm.
“Well, it will be one of us,” one user replied.

Despite the president’s optimism, he is widely unpopular in most polls.
A new Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that Biden’s popular approval ratings are still near the lows of the presidency, with just 40% supporting his performance.
The president does some good in other polls, but can’t get past his early 40s.
According to FiveThirtyEight’s presidential approval tracker, the president has the approval of 43.4% of Americans.
The president’s treatment of the economy, his continued spending in Ukraine, his failure to secure the U.S.-Mexico border, his continued attacks on gun rights, and the discovery of classified documents at his home in Delaware have all taken place in recent years. caused outrage from his critics in May.

On the other side of the proverbial aisle, former President Donald Trump has officially announced that he is seeking the 2024 Republican nomination. He is currently the only candidate running.
Other potential candidates include former Vice President Mike Pence, Gov. Ron DeSantis, Gov. Nikki Haley, Gov. Larry Hogan, Mike Pompeo, Sen. Ted Cruz and Gov. Glenn Youngkin. .
