Seeing what the Biden administration is doing to Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, especially that its purpose is to ensure equality in men’s and women’s sports, reminded me of a game from my childhood. We kids sat in a circle, and one person would whisper something to the person next to them, who would repeat it to the next person, and so on. Then the last child said what he heard. It usually bore little resemblance to what the person who first whispered it said. That was a joke.
The same thing happens with many bills coming out of Congress. Regulators that are not accountable to anyone tend to slip up laws that stretch them beyond their original intent.
The Department of Education’s fact sheet states that regulators will introduce a new regulation under Title IX that “prohibits discrimination or harassment on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, or sexual characteristics in federally funded education programs.” It says it is being added. As the Washington Times reported, “The final rule will go into effect on August 1.” (Just in time for the new school year). The ministry stressed that the regulation “does not address transgender eligibility in academic sports. This will be addressed in a separate regulation expected to be released after the November presidential election.”
Of course it will. Why add this to President Biden’s faltering poll numbers on the border, inflation, gas and food prices, and mortgage rates, which hit 7% last week?
Biden scraps Trump-era Title IX rules, sidelines issue of trans athletes in women’s sports
We can foresee regulators adding “protections” for transgender people, who may now share locker rooms and showers reserved for those born male or female. Don’t worry about what girls or women or boys or men think. This continues to undermine what remains of this country’s moral foundations. Governments will ask us to ignore the obvious. Worse, it imposes a worldview that is inconsistent with that of the majority of Americans, especially those with school-age daughters.
I wonder how many anonymous regulators have daughters or granddaughters who attend public schools or universities? Has anyone ever asked them if it’s okay for transgender women to share locker rooms and showers? I doubt it, but reporters should ask and let others know.

These days, it is said that everyone has their own “truth” and that objectively there is no such thing as truth or falsehood.
Anyone who hasn’t been blinded by the lights of cultural krieg can tell you how athletes born as men beat athletes born as women when they are allowed to play against them. You will understand. This is political correctness at its worst, potentially denying female athletes scholarships, recognition, and commercial support.

Female athletes are also beginning to boycott school sporting events attended by biological males. This should spread to other schools as well. The best approach would be to pull women out of public schools and start separate private leagues.
If there are no standards to define, even for women, anything will eventually become acceptable or even forced. It’s all a matter of condition. Is there anything that the Biden administration and secularists won’t object to? And if they object to something, what criteria will they use?
