President Joe Biden posted a video on his newly created TikTok account capitalizing on the viral Valentine’s Day trend to criticize former President Donald Trump. But commenters on the video don’t want him to share the cute graphic. They want to remind him about the Palestinian city of Rafah, which Israel attacked on Sunday.
The backlash Biden has received over his TikTok themes is the latest example of his miscommunication with young voters, the specific demographic he is trying to connect with through TikTok.
that’s all 68% of TikTok users are under 35 years old; Majority He is pro-Palestinian. Biden is staunchly pro-Israel.
Biden’s Valentine TikTok attacked Trump by incorporating Trump’s policy positions into a Valentine-style message, and Trump’s main opponent Nikki Haley did the same today.
“I love you as much as President Trump loves anti-abortion,” one person said. Another professed to love someone almost as much as “President Trump loves telling Russia to invade Europe,” along with a photo of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
However, viewers did not appreciate the joke following Israel’s attack on the Gaza city of Rafah, where Israeli forces had encouraged Palestinians to flee while other parts of Gaza were under attack.
At least before Sunday’s attack. 95 Palestinian Killed in an Israeli attack in Rafah.
On Sunday, under the guise of rescuing hostages, Israelis carried out a new attack during America’s biggest sporting event, leading to what became known as the “Super Bowl Massacre.” At least 67 people were killed in recent attacks.
TikTokers flooded the president’s comments section with Palestinian flags, watermelon emojis, and versions of “Rafa” to avoid having their comments exposed. Censored by TikTok.
It was accompanied by the comment, “What about Rafa?” and three watermelon emojis.
“Save r@f&h,” said another.
“What’s going on in R4F4H today?” a commenter asked.
