Disney’s Searchlight Pictures is set to produce a remake of the 1989 classic film The Wars of the Roses. Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman appear in The Roses.
The film is still in development and is being directed by Jay Roach, a comedy director known for his work on Recount and Bombshell. Not only that, Tony McNamara, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter for Searchlight’s hit film Poor Things, will be writing the screenplay.
