It’s always nice to see the Bucks release a video that takes a closer look at the organization through a lens that isn’t usually shown to the public.their show “In the flow” has earned a great reputation over the years, and rightly so.
Tampa Bay treated fans to a behind-the-scenes look at drafting Duke offensive lineman Graham Burton in the first round and following Burton’s first day at the Bucs’ facility.
After Graham Burton was drafted last weekend, general manager Jason Richt I was happy Over the fact that the Blue Devils offensive lineman fell to the Bucs at No. 26 because he believed he wouldn’t be available. This photo taken last Thursday night sums it up.
In the video posted by the Bucks, you can see how excited Richt and the Buccaneers’ war room were when they found out they were up and Graham Burton was in their sights. When Green Bay surprised Tampa Bay and drafted Arizona offensive lineman Jordan Morgan one spot earlier, at No. 25, allowing Burton to slide to the Bucs at No. 26, the group started it off with applause.
“I’m very happy when the plan comes together,” Richt said after being drafted by the Packers.
Head coach Todd Bowles even said, “Wow!” When it was announced that the Green Bay Packers had taken Morgan at No. 25, one spot ahead of Tampa Bay.
“Honestly, we always believed he was going to come to us,” Richt said on draft night. “And he did, and that was fine. He said, ‘Thank you!’ [gestures upwards and looks towards the heavens].
“It’s impossible to predict what’s going to happen late in the first round, or in any round, especially late in the first round. It was like it went down the only way it could. [fallen] For us. Now, he hasn’t come here yet to take a single snap, so I’m not going to put his bust in Canton yet. However, I am very happy that we were able to acquire the player we were aiming for. ”
Graham Burton meets new teammates
After showing Graham Burton’s phone conversations with Jason Licht and Todd Bowles, as well as a celebration with his family after being drafted back to Tennessee, the video then shows Burton heading to Tampa Bay. ing. In a surprise but welcome cameo, Barton was introduced to two new teammates with whom he will spend a lot of time throughout the season: left tackle Tristan Wirfs and center Robert Hainsey. To no one’s surprise, Wirfs and Hainsey were training in the weight room when Burton arrived, and Wirfs was wearing a shirt that read “Bench Row Records.”
Barton also had the opportunity to meet with new offensive coordinator Liam Cohen, having a nice chat with the entire group.
“I think we’ve got a really good group,” Wirfs told Barton. “It’s going to be fun.”
Burton also received his first Bucs jersey, No. 62, with his name on it and swapped Duke’s blue for Bucs red. The rest of the episode featured separate conversations between Richt, Bowles, and Burton about general draft strategy when finding players, especially day two and three when there are more rounds. They all waited in the hallway before Mr. Barton’s introductory press conference.
