Swedish mixed martial artist Bee Marecki, known as “Bad News Barbie,” recently released a heartfelt statement on her Instagram page about her departure from the UFC. In his candid message, Marekki expressed mixed feelings, admitting that parting with the UFC was the right decision, but that it still hurts to say goodbye.
In a statement on Instagram, Marecki said:
“I feel like this was the right decision in my heart and at the same time I am so dead. It breaks my heart to write that I have no intention of fighting in the UFC anymore.“
Marecki has highlighted his decision to focus on fighting at £145, a division the UFC does not currently invest in, as a key factor in his departure.
“The UFC offered me fights, but I decided to focus on fighting at £145, a division that the UFC does not invest in. At 135 lbs with weight loss like this you can’t really perform at a high level. So it was a mutual and amicable decision.Me and the UFC have decided to go our separate ways”
Despite parting ways with the UFC, Marekki expressed gratitude for his time at the UFC and the people he met along the way.
“I had a great experience in the UFC and would always look to go back if I chose to fight at 135 pounds again. I want to thank Mick Maynard and the UFC team. Also, thank you to everyone who joined me on this adventure…it was amazing. Thank you very much.a new adventure begins”
Bee Marecki’s Instagram statement provided a glimpse into her departure from the UFC, revealing the reasons behind her conflicting feelings and decision. Her desire to fight at 145 pounds, combined with her realization that she could not perform at her best while shedding weight for bantamweight, led her to make a mutual break with the UFC. Mr. Marecki thanked her organization for the opportunities and her experience during her tenure, and she expressed her excitement for her new adventures ahead. Her fans are eagerly anticipating Marekki’s next step as she embarks on a new chapter in her mixed martial arts career.
