Over the years, many TikTok users have recorded what it was like to lose their jobs, which have gone viral. However, few people have actually recorded such experiences.
TikTok user Julia’s (@sadkiwigirl) recent video is different. Not only did she document the process of losing her job, she also explained that while she was working, the entire company went bankrupt and suddenly forced everyone out of the store.
In a video that has been viewed more than 2.6 million times, Julia said: “I just found out that the store will be closing at 12pm today…and by ‘closed’ I mean the entire chain is closing. ” he says.
She then chronicles her and her co-workers’ attempts to process that information, from discussions about how to get rid of customers to how to spend their final hours at work.
Eventually, employees decided to remove everyone from the store and hang a sign on the door that read “Closed Permanently.”
“I found out 2 hours ago that my company is closing nationwide!!!” Does anyone know how to apply for unemployment insurance? The TikToker sums it up in her caption.
