Actress Aubrey Plaza’s husband, director Jeff Baena, has been found dead at the age of 47. TMZ Law enforcement reports that they believe he died by suicide.
The body of Baena, who directed his wife in the 2014 zombie film “Life After Beth,” was discovered by his assistant Friday morning. Law enforcement investigated and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Plaza, 40, known for her work on “Parks and Recreation,” “White Lotus” and many other shows and films, has not commented on the tragedy.
Born June 29, 1977 in Miami, Baena got his big break writing scripts with director David O. Russell, including the offbeat star-studded comedy I Heart Huckabees (2004).

In addition to “Life After Beth,” his other directorial projects include “Josie” (2016), “Little Hours” (2017), and “Horse Girl” (2020).
The couple gave Criterion a “Closet Recommendation” film in 2017, showcasing their deadpan humor. take a look here. In 2021, Baena produced the anthology series Cinematoast for Showtime, which marked Plaza’s directorial debut.
Plaza and Baena have been a couple since 2011, but she kept their relationship a secret from the public.
