Artem Chigvintsev has responded to Nikki Garcia’s restraining order.
After the restraining order was issued against Garcia, Chigvintsev filed for his own restraining order against Garcia.
Chigvintsev’s request was also granted by the judge.
In both court filings, the two accused the other of being the perpetrator and offered different interpretations of what happened on the day of their arrest.

According to Nikki’s documents, the pair got into an argument over how to toast her son Matteo’s English muffins.
Nikki admitted to throwing the shoe at Artyom, who then took her son upstairs to his bedroom.
Garcia claimed that when she tried to push through the door, Artem “tackled” her, “grabbed my arm and held me to the ground for what felt like 20 to 30 seconds.” .

Artyom also attached photos of injuries he allegedly sustained to his elbow, fingers and neck.
Mr. Chigvintsev insisted that Mr. Garcia’s claims were “completely false.”
Along with filing the restraining order, both parties released statements through their representatives.
Garcia’s attorney said: “Following the incident that led to Artem’s arrest on August 29, 2024, Nikki decided to apply for a temporary domestic violence restraining order to protect herself and her son. ” he said. Nikki asked the Napa district attorney not to file charges because she doesn’t want Artem to go to prison, but Artem must still be held accountable for his actions and Nikki and her son must be protected. Due to the restraining order, Chigvintsev must stay at least 100 yards away from Garcia and Matteo. He will only be able to get closer if he has a visit or interaction with Mateo.
According to Artem’s application, he and Nikki will have equal physical custody of Matteo. He will begin looking after Matteo from October 4th to 12th while Nicky is away on a business trip to London. She will have custody of him from October 13th to 16th, after which they will switch custody every three days.
