New details emerged after Artyom Chigvintsev was arrested on domestic violence charges on Thursday.

One dispatcher said, “I started out as an RP. [reporting party] He had requested medical attention, but now claims he had been in an argument with his wife and she threw a shoe at him.”
She continues, “There is a child on scene. Medical crews are on the way. A 415 call has been made. [disturbing the peace] There is responsibility behind it.”
The operator then added that they were “attempting to separate the two,” and that “RP states no medical attention is required at this time.”

Artem was arrested and taken to the Napa County Jail. According to court records, Chigvintsev was charged with assault on a spouse under Penal Code 273.5(a).
A representative for the Napa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Extra that Artem was arrested without incident on suspicion of “felony domestic violence.” The investigation is ongoing.
The “Dancing with the Stars” pro was released from jail after posting bail.
A rep for his wife, Nikki Garcia, later told Us Weekly: statement“This is a private matter and Nikki asks that her privacy and that of her family be respected at this time.”
The two began dating in 2019 and he proposed a year later. The couple got married in August 2022 and just celebrated their two-year anniversary.
