Bloomberg’s Mark Garman thinks an expected iteration of the Magic Mouse featuring artificial intelligence voice control is plausible. However, he said he hasn’t come across any rumors about this feature so far.
A South Korean leaker known as “yeux1222” reported this morning that Apple has developed a prototype Magic Mouse that integrates touch, voice control, and hand gestures.

Garman said on social media that these features align well with advances in AI, but the rumor is a “misinterpretation” of a statement in a report he shared in early December about future versions of the Magic Mouse. He also said that it seems to be the case.
It remains unclear whether the rumors from yeux1222 originate from Gurman’s original report. Nevertheless, Garman revealed today that Apple intends to prioritize a more ergonomic design and unspecified gesture functionality in the updated mouse.
If the next Magic Mouse incorporates voice control, it could make it easier to interact with Apple Intelligence, allowing users to summon Siri or perform certain tasks through voice commands. Given that Macs already support voice capabilities, Garman said the feature may not have immediate applications, but related use cases could emerge within the next five to 10 years.
