Applebee’s server went viral for returning the favor after calling a colleague who created a TikTok about her.
TikToker Thea (@lildebienthesnackcakes) showed a short screen recording of his colleague’s TikTok before applauding. In a screen recording, a colleague rolled his eyes and said, “When your colleague wants to complain to you constantly because your section isn’t clean.”
The video then switched and Thea said: I am a “colleague”.
Thea insisted she wasn’t “whining” to her co-workers to get her work done. Instead, she told her co-workers that she wasn’t going to do the work for herself. I signed up,” he added.
In the video, Thea shows a picture of Applebee’s messy table. But when her colleague left the table dirty, Thea said she had to clean the table because she was working the closing shift that night.
“You quit your job for me to do,” Thea said in the clip.
She said that when her first colleague left a dirty table behind, another employee came out and told her it needed to be cleaned up. Her colleague refused to go back inside because she was “not feeling well”.
“Besides the fact that we are already severely understaffed and really can’t afford [anyone] To [not] Do their job,” said Thea. “Everyone has to do their part for this place to work.”
She also called out a colleague for calling her a “little thing”, claiming she just wanted them to do their job.
Thea recalled confronting her colleague on her next shift after she left the dirty table for the first time. She said her colleague had said nothing at the time and had her mouth shut. When her colleague left the dirty table for her second time, someone else called out to her. [her]”
“I don’t know how old you are and I don’t want to know. I don’t care,” said Thea. “But now it’s time to grow up. You got a big girl job. The little things aren’t cleaning the section or doing the job you signed up for as a server.
At the end of the video, Thea said colleagues should say this in person, not on TikTok. She continued that she wouldn’t hurt her own feelings, but she warned that it could hurt the feelings of her colleagues.

Viewers largely sided with Thea, with some applauding her applause.
“Hi, I’m a colleague,” one viewer commented, echoing Thea.
“GET EM GET EM,” said another.
A third wrote: People hate when they have to be reminded to do their job. ”
Several viewers noticed that a colleague turned off comments on her video. Others said it’s easier to work as a server when everyone does their job.
“Serving is so much easier/better when you and your colleagues can communicate and work as a team,” said one user.
“100% yes I left the service industry tired of all the other young recruits doing absolutely nothing and just me doing the job,” wrote a second user .
Others questioned why management allowed a colleague to leave without completing a task.
“Don’t management check before tipping?” asked one commenter.
Another said: We could never leave until everyone’s section was cleaned up and our side jobs were done. ”
Thea wrote in reply: No more signing off. But in general we all help each other. We are almost all friends!
