Speculation suggests that the budget-friendly Apple Vision headset could cost around $2,000, while the Apple Vision Pro costs $3,499. This model is expected to have a lower-performance chip and a lower-resolution display compared to the premium model.
More economical headsets include features such as EyeSight, which utilizes a lenticular display on the outside of the headset to allow others to see the wearer’s eyes, according to Bloomberg research. It is likely that certain technologies that are present will be omitted.
The lower-priced Apple Vision is expected to be equipped with an A-series chip similar to that found in upcoming iPhone models, rather than the M2 chip found in the Apple Vision Pro. Additionally, it is reasonable to expect that this version will incorporate lighter materials to reduce the overall weight on the user’s head.
The successor to the existing Apple Vision Pro is expected to launch at the same time as the more affordable Apple Vision model. This strategy will allow Apple to offer a variety of features and price options to consumers interested in AR/VR headsets.
According to the report, Apple expects to sell twice as many Apple Vision headsets compared to the Apple Vision Pro due to the lower price. Development is underway for the second version of Apple Vision Pro, and key hardware enhancements will include a processor upgrade.
