Dr. Salvador Placencia, one of Matthew Perry’s doctors, accepted the plea agreement.
As part of the agreement, Placencia pleaded guilty to four counts distributing ketamine to Perry. TMZ.
Placencia could face up to 40 years in prison on charges, but he could face a sentence of 15-21 months for a plea deal.
Plascencia was scheduled to begin trial in August, but he will formally enter the plea within the next few weeks.
In October, another doctor, Dr. Mark Chavez, charged in connection with the death of the “friend” star, filed a guilty plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine.

He was accepted into the plea agreement and was told he had “incredibly regrets” after being contacted by Dr. Placencia.
Filmmaker Eric Fleming has already pleaded guilty to one count of the conspiracy to distribute ketamine and one count of the distribution of ketamine that leads to death.
Perry’s resident assistant Kenneth Iwamasa also pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute the death-causing ketamine.
Another defendant in the case claimed “Ketamine Queen” Jasven Sangha, but entered a plea of innocence.
According to US lawyers press release“Sanga and Placencia are charged with one conspiracy to distribute ketamine. Sanga is charged with five counts: one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession with the distribution of ketamine, and five counts of distribution of ketamine.”
In 2023, Perry passed away at the age of 54. His cause of death was listed as “acute effects of ketamine.”
