This is quick!
The afternoon actually started in Muizenberg…
…Shortly after, we visited Boulders Beach to see the penguins.
And although it was a visit to the Cape Peninsula that ultimately led us to, it’s definitely worth a quick stop at Simon’s Town on the drive outside of Cape Town.
To be fair, if you’ve already stopped by to see the penguins, you’re already in Simon’s Town, so you might as well wander around town a bit and stop for lunch.
We chose a location right by the harbor that was perfect for watching water sports enthusiasts (and shark cage divers) prepare for departure.
However, the food was a bit hit and miss.
…Well, maybe shrimp.
The melting Camembert is delicious…
…and even more delicious salads
Grilling piping hot kamaboko…
…and an amazing seafood platter!
Considering the mishmash of mains and appetizers, we decided to skip dessert and leave.
As you depart, don’t forget to take in the views of Simon’s Town from the mountain path. Well worth a visit before heading to the Cape Peninsula. 🙂
