A Texas marketing executive was caught on camera distraught by a passenger who strangely claimed to be “not real” on an American Airlines flight. Dallas resident Tiffany Gomas told police the meltdown happened after an altercation over wireless headphones. After the incident, she was forced to get off the plane, causing several hours of delay for other passengers.
Tiffany served as Vice President of Elevate Brand Marketing and was even described as a “rising star” by the trade press in 2017. She lives in a $2 million house in the Lakewood neighborhood.
“Let me tell you, I’m quitting cheating. There’s a reason I’m quitting cheating and everyone either believes it or they don’t,” Tiffany said in the video. I cried inside. It spread on social media. “I have two complaints, but let me tell you, the mother over there is not real.”
But despite her apparent terror, Tiffany was reluctant to get off the plane, The New York Post reported. She had to be removed by staff.
Tiffany Gomas refuses to sign trespassing report
Police said the incident happened after Tiffany lost her cool about a relative she was traveling with. She accused them of stealing her AirPods. In her complaint dated July 2, she said, “The woman then began to claim that the plane was unsafe and she wanted the plane to depart because she believed she could not reach her destination. There was none.”
“This remark made the flight attendants feel the aircraft needed to be re-inspected. [The airline manager] “The passenger was denied boarding and asked to be escorted to a regular seat,” he added.
Due to the nature of Tiffany’s complaint, passengers on Flight 1009 from Fort Worth to Orlando had to disembark. As a precaution, they had to undergo security checks again. “TSA personnel arrived at the scene and conducted a complete reinspection of the aircraft,” the document said.
By the time police arrived, Tiffany was “distraught” and about to board the plane again. “[The airline manager] “I made a verbal trespassing report to Ms. Gomez and explained that she would be denied boarding and would need to leave the secure area,” an investigative source said.
Documents show that Tiffany was taken to an unsecured area of the airport and repeatedly tried to return to the boarding area. Police tracked her to the terminal curb and found her waiting for her Uber. She refused to sign the trespassing report given to her and refused to show her ID to the police. She has not been formally arrested or detained after the incident.
